As well as email access, users can share calendars, tasks and contacts address book securely from any computer over the Internet and with the right software, from their existing email client software or any web browser.

The biggest change in email delivery is the establishment of cloud solutions which has allowed small businesses who do not have any server infrastructure to access full collaboration features via the Internet for fixed monthly fee per mailbox user. Competition between Google and Microsoft have resulted in slashed pricing with 25GB of storage available for as little as £1 per month. Businesses with competent IT staff or an IT support contract for other servers such as Active Directory can avail of these reduced pricing. Our managed hosted exchange costs £6 per user per month and includes full setup and end user support.

For businesses with 10 or more email users the monthly costs do add up and the benefit will vary from business to business depending on what other cloud solutions are required or if a local server is required for other business solutions.
